UPDATE Modeling Scam Investigation Date: May 15th, 2017

UPDATE – May 15th, 2017 – The Celina Police Department made an arrest in the incident that occurred on May 3rd, 2017, involving a suspect, now identified as Jonathan Ong Aviles, 03-05-1971, of Frisco, Texas. Aviles turned himself into the Celina Police Department on 05/15/2017 and was transported to the Collin County Detention Center on two warrants for ‘Assault Causes Physical Contact’ with bonds totaling $4,000.

On May 12th, 2017 – The Celina Police Department had identified Aviles in the offense which involved unwanted physical contact with female employees at local businesses in Celina on May 3rd, 2017. The investigation is still ongoing.

Celina, TX – On May 3rd, 2017, officers of the Celina Police Department responded to a suspicious circumstance at four different businesses in Celina that employ young females. The initial investigation has determined that an Asian male came in to the stores and began a conversation with the young female employees. The subject told the victims he was a producer shooting a video for a popular TV show and wanted clothes for the video. He asked one victim to try on clothes to see what they looked like while worn. The subject put his hands around the victim’s waist and asked her what was her most attractive physical quality.

The physical contact was unwanted. In another incident, another victim was touched inappropriately above the waist. In each incident, the subject asked the victims how they felt about posing nude and traveling to L.A. The subject is currently facing misdemeanor assault charges here in Celina, however, the Celina Police Department’s greatest focus is identifying the subject and preventing a possible tragic outcome.

The Celina Police Department is concerned that if the subject is allowed to continue these contacts, a more vulnerable victim may not have the chance to say ‘no’. This investigation is ongoing. Once we gather more information and follow up on all leads, we will release pertinent information. Any public information questions on this incident should be directed to Officer Guidera at the Celina Police Department via email at [email protected] .
